• The authors reflect on public health services and systems research (PHSSR). They suggest that in order to advance the field of public health services and systems research, challenges that are apparent within the research will need to be addressed. They argue that with a collaborative effort new, relevant and translatable PHSSR findings can be found that can be used to understand and address public health problems.
