  • In this article the authors reflect on the public health aspect of homelessness in the U.S. and on initiatives, including the Housing First model, which have been developed to assist the homeless and help them obtain permanent housing. They argue that initiatives such as Housing First must be supported and that increased efforts need to be made to assist homeless veterans and to end homelessness in the U.S.
