    • The article reports on the problem of missing data which is seen commonly in all fields of research. A discussion of the different types of mechanisms by which data can be missing, including missing completely at random, missing at random and missing not at random, is presented. In the article the authors offer their opinions on why researchers should care about missing data in research studies and on several research studies which have investigated the impact that missing data has on research results
