• The authors reflect on the transformation of public health delivery systems using open science principles. They suggest that the field of public health services and systems research (PHSSR) has become a leading resource for developing strategies which can be used to transform public health delivery systems in all areas of the U.S. They argue that the "American Journal of Public Health" has entered into a partnership with the journal "Frontiers" which will disseminate PHSSR studies and will help transform the public health system in the U.S.
