    Este artículo aborda ladinámica y evolución de las operaciones de rescates y circulación de cautivos (blancos e indígenas) en la Araucanía en Chile en los siglos XVIIIy XIX como un elemento clave en la definición de las relaciones interétnicas y la articulación político-diplomática en espacios de frontera en la larga duración. El énfasis estará puesto en la importancia dada a estas accionesen su vinculación con la cautividady el rescate de mujeres dentro del periodo y espacio señalado

    This article deals with the dynamics and evolution of rescuing operations and circulation of captives (white and indigenous) in the Araucanía in Chile in the XVIII and XIX centuries as a key element in the definition of inter-ethnic relations and the politico-diplomatic articulation in border spaces in the long term. The emphasis will be on the importance given to these actions in their connection with the captivity and the rescue of women within the period and space indicated
