Resumen de The Croatian standard language and the Serbian standard language

Ivo Pranjkovic

  • The relations between the Croatian and Serbian standard languages have linguistic, sociolinguistic, and sociopolitical implications. By way of concrete examples, the author corroborates his claim that Croatian and Serbian are to a considerable degree genetically identical, but that they have been functioning sociolinguistically as two di€erent standard languages not only at present, but since their very beginnings.
