The article explores how as of 2019 several museums in the U.S. using new approaches to displaying Indigenous artifacts including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Newark Museum. Additional topics discussed include the curators Paul Chaat Smith and Cécile R. Ganteaume, the Early American galleries at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, and efforts to embrace inclusion in art curatorial practices.
