  • The article discusses the work of contemporary Buenos Aires, Argentina-based artists including Jorge Macchi, Luciana Lamothe and Pablo Siquier. Particular focus is given to the cultural scene Buenos Aires has been able to retain despite having a turbulent political and socioeconomic history. Additional topics discussed include how many artists and writers from the country have chosen to live abroad, how the artists described attended the Escuela de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón, and avant-garde aesthetics in the country.
