    A principios del siglo XX irrumpe en Europa la enfermedad de la tuberculosis convirtiéndose rápidamente en la preocupación médica y social más importante de la época. Esta preocupación, que no es ajena al ámbito gallego al verse agravada por el fenómeno de la inmigración desde ultramar, tendrá en González Villar al arquitecto encargado de realizar el proyecto del Sanatorio antituberculoso de Cesuras bajo el encargo del Patronato Nacional de Tuberculosos y el Dispensario Antituberculoso de A Coruña en 1927. Durante su construcción, la escasez de financiación privada irá reduciendo las ambiciones del sanatorio hasta que la llegada de la guerra civil trunque definitivamente el proyecto dejándolo inacabado para siempre. El presente texto aborda la reconstrucción del proyecto original del Sanatorio, ofreciendo una imagen de lo que una vez concibió González Villar.

    At the beginning of the 20th century the disease of tuberculosis broke out in Europe, quickly becoming the most important medical and social concern of the time. This concern, which is not alien to the Galician area as it is aggravated by the phenomenon of immigration from overseas, will have in Gonzalez Villar the architect in charge of carrying out the project of the antituberculous Sanatorium of Cesuras under the order of the National Patronage of Tuberculosis and the Antituberculosis Dispensary of A Coruña in 1927. During its onstruction, the shortage of private financing will reduce the ambitions of the sanatorium until the arrival of the civil war finally truncating the project leaving it unfinished forever. The present text addresses the reconstruction of the original project of the Sanatorium, offering an image of what González Villar initially conceived.
