The article discusses the 2009 11th Istanbul Biennial entitled "What Keeps Mankind Alive" in Turkey. The curatorial endeavor of the Biennial is lay out to challenge what an exhibition can revolutionize issues of inequality presented in an art work. It focuses on the political curatorial strategy in which the curators prefer art that is a political statement in itself. In addition, a work in a video trilogy of Ruti Sela and Maayan Amir leaves spectators with more questions than answers.
