  • The article offers information on the works of painter Charline von Heyl in Berlin, Germany. Von Heyl's work "Melancolia (2008)" is a circular, partlywinged figure in washed-out shapes in a grayish palette in a Sudoku-like system of black-and-white squares and numbers. The title suggests that the technical preeminence is based on less controlled processes than the formal clarity of the paintings. In addition, the works on paper inhabit the balcony of the gallery.
