The article examines the life and work of the German conceptual artist Hanne Darboven. Particular focus is given to the role that writing played in her minimalist installations. Additional topics discussed include her time spent studying at the Hamburg College of Art in Hamburg, Germany, the themes present in her work and insights on her artistic technique.
