  • The article reports on the rise of artist-led art fairs in New York. An example of a hybrid art fair is the Fountain Art Fair, which has a reputation of being a rebellious upstart alternative to established shows. The Pool Art Fair is the first artists' fair of the current wave, while the Verge Art Brooklyn is another branch of the Verge Art Fair. Other art fairs are the Site Fest in Brooklyn, Contemporary Art Fair New York City (NYC) in Manhattan, One of a Kind, and Art Bazaar. The Artists Project is viewed as the most professionally-run artists' fair.
