  • The article relates the author's encounters with the work of artist Franz Erhard Walther. The first work of Walther that has been seen by the author came from his epic series "Work Sentence." It consists of single or multiple individuals performing actions with sculptural elements. The artist's work was devoid of the emphasis on autobiographic performance seen in the work of Vito Acconci. Another encounter with the work of Walther took place when the author was asked to write an essay for an exhibition of the artist's work.
