  • Most lifeloggers gather information about themselves every day, whether by keeping a photographic record, or just measuring how far they run during a workout. But the field has spent too long focusing on gathering information, says Steve Whittaker of the University of California in Santa Cruz, a psychologist who has been studying lifelogging technologies for the last eight years. Several firms and research projects are answering Whittaker's call. Trov, a start-up based in San Ramon CA, is building a digital locker for people to record their possessions--allowing them to manage their belongings just as emails, music, photos, documents and so on are managed online.
