  As scabies does not clear up on its own, the patient must be treated as soon as the diagnosis is made. In addition to conventional local treatments there is an oral treatment which is particularly well suited to people living in institutional accommodation. If a complication occurs, complementary treatments must be prescribed. The steps to take to manage the disease must be explained to the patient.

  La gale ne guérissant pas spontanément, le patient doit être pris en charge dès le diagnostic établi. Aux traitements locaux conventionnels vient s’ajouter un traitement per os particulièrement adapté aux personnes vivant en collectivité. Dans les cas où une complication apparaît, des soins complémentaires doivent être prescrits. La conduite à tenir doit être correctement expliquée au patient.
