En una primera parte del trabajo, y a la luz de la teología agustiniana, se considera el significado ‘verbal’ de Beatriz; en la segunda parte se analiza el episodio de Giovanna-Primavera, evidenciándose una implícita referencia a los bautismos de Juan y de Cristo, en cuanto claves que permiten diferenciar cualitativamente dos poéticas, la de Guido Cavalcanti y la del propio Dante.

The first part of the essay considers, under the light of Augustine theology, the “verbal” significance of Beatrice; the second part analyses the episode of Giovanna-Primavera, revealing an implicit reference to the baptism of John and Christ, the key to distinguishing the quality of two different poetics, that of Guido Calvacanti, and that of Dante himself.
