    Il numero 8 riveste un'importanza fondamentale nel cristianesimo proprio per il suo riferimento alla resurrezione. Nel seguente contributo, partendo dalle riflessioni operate da Antonio Quacquarelli, si cercherà di effettuare alcune osservazioni riguardanti il rapporto tra il simbolismo legato all'ogdoade, la liturgia, l'architettura e l'iconografia, soprattutto alla luce dei più recenti studi.

    The number 8 has a primary importance in Christianity, especially for its reference to concept of Resurrection. In the following contribution, starting from the Antonio Quacquarelli's observations, it will try to make some comments about the relationship between the symbolism linked to the ogdoad, the liturgy, architecture and iconography, considering the new studies.
