El Tribunal Arbitral del Deporte estima el recurso interpuesto por la Union Sportive Ouakam contra la decisión del Comité de Apelación de la Federación Senegalesa de Fútbol por la que se le consideraba responsable exclusivo de los trágicos acontecimientos ocurridos en la final de la Copa de la Liga. La sanción impuesta por la Federación excluía al Club de todas las competiciones durante 5 años además de relegarle directamente a la cuarta categoría del fútbol senegalés.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport upholds the appeal filed by Union Sportive Ouakam against the decision of the Appeals Committee of the Senegalese Football Federation which deemed that USO was solely responsible for the tragic events that took place in the final of the League’s Cup. The sanction imposed by the Federation excluded the Club from all competitions for 5 years in addition to directly relegating it to the fourth category of Senegalese football.
