Le pharmacien d’officine est de plus en plus sollicité pour donner des conseils en aromathérapie. Son rôle consiste à juger de la pertinence de cette alternative en fonction du contexte pathologique et du patient. Dans un second temps, il doit évaluer les huiles essentielles présentant le meilleur rapport bénéfice/risque. Toutefois, les données scientifiques concernant leurs propriétés sont encore aujourd’hui souvent insuffisantes.

Pharmacists are increasingly being asked for advice in the area of aromatherapy. Their role consists in judging the relevance of this alternative therapy according to the pathological context and the patient. They must also assess which essential oils offer the best risk-benefit ratio. However, there are still insufficient scientific data relating to their properties.
