    Hechos 10 nos muestra, a partir de la historia del centurión Cornelio, el destino universal del evangelio y su capacidad para renovar, mediante el don del Espíritu, a todo hombre que busque a Dios con corazón recto; pues Dios, que no hace distinción de personas, ha revelado a Pedro "que no debe llamar profano o impuro a ningún hombre" (He 10,28). El alcance antropológico del acontecimiento adquiere nueva luz a partir de la enseñanza evangélica: Adán, y por tanto todo hijo suyo, es hijo de Dios (Lc 3,38). La integridad moral de Cornelio aparece, en fin, como preparación para el don del Espíritu, cuya acción en los corazones da comienzo a la nueva creación.

    Acts 10 shows us, through the story of the centurión Cornelius, the universal destination of the Gospel and its capacity to renew, through the gift of the Spirit, every human being who seeks god with a righteous heart; since God, who shows no partiality, has revealed to Peter that he "should not call any man profane or unclean" (Acts 10:28). The anthropological scope of the event shines even more clearly in the light of the Gospel's teaching: Adam, and therefore every descendant of his, is a child of God (Luke 3:38). Finally, the moral integrity of Cornelius appears as a preparation for the gift of the Spirit, whose action in the human heart begins the new creation.
