In this article, the aim is to show, always in fidelity to John's exposition of it, how Satan, "the Prince of this world" (Jn 12,31; 14,30; 16,11), is vanquished and "dethroned", expelled from human beings' hearts, by the only King of the universo, Jesús Christ. This "dethronement" and, together with it, the restoration of humanity in the enthronement of Jesús, are presented by John symbolically, through the seven "signs", and ultimately through the elevation-glorification of Jesús on the Cross.

Il presente articolo vuol mettere in evidenza, sempre in continuità con gli sviluppi della presentazione giovannea, come venga vinto e con ciò "detronizzato", vale a dire, scacciato via dal cuore dell'uomo, Satana, "il Principe di questo mondo" (Gv 12,31; 14,30; 16,11), grazie all'unico Re di questo mondo: Cristo Gesù. Tale detronizzazione, e il simultaneo ristabilimento dell'umanità nell'intronizzazione di Gesù, viene illustrata da Giovanni in modo simbolico attraverso la presentazione dei sette Segni e, in modo definitivo, nell'innalzamento-glorificazione di Gesù nella croce.
