  • Resumen
    • DayZ is a game about surviving on an island full of zombies. Cobbled together in 2012 by developer Dean Hall in his spare time, it is a modification of an existing game, the military first-person shooter ARMA 2. It has no missions, no scripted events, and is unusually strict in that dying means one has to start the game again from scratch. This rule makes players invest more in their characters and have to deal with the consequences of every choice they make. DayZ's emphasis on consequences comes in stark contrast to the latest blockbuster game, Grand Theft Auto V, which was released to acclaim earlier this October 2013. Here, Heaven looks at DayZ and the social interactions between the players and the game.
