  • Building blocks are deeply loved by children. It has a great effect on children’s physical development, social cognition andso on. And it is also paid more and more attention by domestic and international scholars. But the research of buildingblocks mostly focuses on specific cognitive promoting function. However, the instruction of building blocks only remainsat superficial level. This paper focuses on the teaching of building activity based on K’NEX blocks. And it puts forward theteaching mode in building blocks named Q4E.The details include questioning, exploring, explaining, expanding,evaluating. At the same time, the researchers held the activity named ‘‘Young Engineer’’ in China Science and TechnologyMuseum to explore the feasibility of Q4E teaching mode. The study also wants to provide reference for the teaching ofbuilding blocks.
