Heaven talks about the language evolution. Comparing languages to living, breathing organisms certainly has a striking historical precedent. In his 1871 book The Descent of Man, Charles Darwin notes the connection explicitly: The formation of different languages and of distinct species, and the proofs that both have been developed through a gradual process, are curiously parallel.
