• The main structural features of the externa! and interna! Prebetic domains allow its subdividion into three great areas that exhibit an increasing diapiric activity from NNW to SSE. The amount of diapiric structurations points to a mínimum final tectonic shortening and enable us to interpret the relationships between basement and its sedimentary cover over an extense area of the Betic chain.
