  • This article provides qualitative expert interviews by radio programme heads of both, governed by public law and private broadcasting companies in Germany. While being interviewed, those questioned got to hear extracts of radio presentations. The heads of the programmes will be requested to describe and assess the voices heard. Based on the interviews, the evaluation contains a compilation of descriptions of the voice and the way of speaking. It also draws up criteria, which stand for ‘good presenters’. Moreover it comprehends which relevance the vocal and speech-related abilities have for radio programme heads and whether they have ideal images of radio voices and how they would describe them
