  • The article presents an irreverent view of firearm accidents where gun owners were shot by their dogs. It comments the British newspaper "The Independent" ran a story about a man who in 2016 was shot in the arm when his dog hit the trigger on a loaded rifle in his vehicle and mentions the hunter had his hunting permit and rifle license revoked. It comments in November 2018 a man in New Mexico was shot by his 120-pound Rottweiler mix. It reports that shooting accidents in the U.S. has declined.
