Resumen de Nuevas metodologías pedagógicas: arte y discapacidad

Este artículo pretende ampliar la visión hacia la utilización de nuevas metodológias, aplicables para el alumnado con y sin discapacidad. Las metodologías artísticas se fundamentan en una investigación realizada con el objetivo de conocer si existe alguna relación entre el nivel de autoestima que presentan las personas con discapacidad intelectual y la metodología de trabajo seguida (incluyendo o no el arte). En el estudio se ha partido de una metodología mixta, cuantitativa-cualitativa, con un diseño de la investigación descriptivo y correlacional. Los resultados muestran que los métodos de trabajo que incluyen elementos artísticos incrementan significativamente los niveles de autoestima global más que otras metodologías tradicionales.

The main purpose of this investigation is to know if there are some relationship between the self-esteem level which people with mental disabilities have and the way of doing their applied work (containing or no the art). The research’s methodology is mixed (quantitative and qualitative) and it has a descriptive and correlational design.
The resilience index, which I have chosen in the research, has been the global selfesteem level of people with mental disabilities. The results show how the method of work which includes the artistic elements increases the global self-esteem level rather than other traditional methods.
