    Tras largos años de investigación en el marco de su tesis doctoral, la Dra. Elena Rosauro (Universidad de Zurich, Suiza) ha publicado el libro Historia y violencia en América Latina. Prácticas artísticas, 1992-2012. Esta reseña pretende sintetizar las líneas principales que estructuran el desarrollo teórico desplegado por la autora. Para ello, se hará hincapié en los ejes de análisis que ha implementado, se establecerán nexos con aspectos culturales de la realidad latinoamericana y se citará a los artistas cuyas trayectorias integran el volumen. Finalmente, se señalarán los aportes críticos fundamentales y sus contribuciones al campo del análisis visual.

    After long years of research in the framework of her doctoral thesis, Dr. Elena Rosauro (University of Zurich, Switzerland) has published the book Historia y violencia en América Latina. Prácticas artísticas, 1992-2012 [History and Violence in Latin America. Artistic Practices, 1992-2012]. This review aims to synthesize the main lines that structure the theoretical development deployed by the author, emphasizing the axes of analysis that she has implemented, establishing links with cultural aspects of the Latin American reality and quoting the artists whose trajectories make up the volume. Finally, the critical contributions to the field of visual analysis will be pointed out.
