Sostenemos aquí que no existe algo así como una “teoría marxista ortodoxa del Estado”, no hay acuerdo sobre cuál sería esta teoría, ni hay forma de definir entre las distintas interpretaciones a partir de la obra de Marx. El presente artículo se propone ofrecer una revisión comprehensiva del problema en la obra de Marx, siguiendo su cronología de escritura, polemizando con dos interpretaciones equívocas de la ciencia política: la del Estado como instrumento y la de autonomía relativa basada en la renuncia de la burguesía.

We sustain here that there is not something like an “orthodox Marxist State theory”, there is no agreement on what would this theory be, and there is no way to define between different interpretations based on Marx’s oeuvre.
This article aims to provide a comprehensive review of the problem in the works of Marx, following its writing chronology, arguing with two misleading interpretations in political science: the one that takes the State as an instrument and the one of the relative autonomy based on the bourgeois quitting.
