Resumen de Bläue: Poetologische Lesarten einer Farbe in der Lyrik Thomas Kling

  In the poetry of German writer Thomas Kling, blue and blueness refer less to sensory perception of a specific color or associated states of emotion than to highly charged symbols in cultural and literary traditions: to 'Prussian blue' Romanticism, to the ideological surpation of the color during National Socialism and, last but not least, to blue as the color of poetry and (drug-related) ecstasy. The article focusses on two poems, bläue 1993) and schlick (1996) and on the cycle Gesang von der Bronchoskopie (2005). It offers a detailed analysis of Kling’s utilization of blue and blueness in a self-reflexive poetry which investigates its position to literary tradition, the relationship between author and work and philological approaches to poetry in general.

  In der Lyrik Thomas Klings lässt sich Blau oder Bläue weniger als sinnlich-gegenständliches Farbattribut denn als kultursymbolisch und literaturgeschichtlich hochgradig aufgeladene Chiffre begreifen. Zur 'preußischblauen' Romantik lassen sich hierbei ebenso Bezüge finden wie zur Vereinnahmung der Farbe durch den nationalsozialismus, zum Blau der Dichtung und des (Drogen-)Rausches. An den Gedichten bläue (1993) und schlick (1996) sowie dem Zyklus Gesang von der Bronchoskopie (2005) verfolgt der Beitrag im Einzelnen, wie Kling den dichterischen Traditionsbezug, das Verhältnis von Autorsubjekt und Dichtung sowie den philologischen Umgang mit Lyrik im Zeichen der Bläue reflektiert
