El concepto de representación es intrínseco a la producción artística. Sin embargo, en una sociedad atravesada por imágenes, la representación ya no es privilegio del artista. Frente a ello se vuelve necesario expandir los horizontes del término para pensar las relaciones entre la representación artística, política, institucional y económica. En el siguiente diálogo, Roberto Jacoby realiza un recorrido por esta temática pensando sus propias producciones, como así también las imágenes de los medios masivos, del gobierno neoliberal en la Argentina y de la cultura popular.

The concept of representation is intrinsic to the artistic production. However, in a society traversed by images, representation is no longer the privilege of the artist. So it becomes necessary to reflect on the relationships between artistic, political, institutional and economic representations. In the following interview, Roberto Jacoby goes on a tour of this theme thinking about his own productions as well as the images of the mass media, the neoliberal government in Argentina and popular culture.
