El lugar del relato en la nueva frontera digital sobre la que se mueve la cinematografía: Duncan Jones y la narratología

    El cambio de siglo parece haber coincidido, en el caso de la cinematografía, con una nueva época definida por importantes transformaciones de naturaleza tecnológica y productiva y profundas mutaciones en el estatuto de la imagen cinematográfica. Intentando contribuir a la caracterización general de la cinematografía en este nuevo periodo, esta contribución se centra en el estudio de una filmografía a priori representativa a este respecto, la del cineasta británico Duncan Jones, integrada hasta el momento por Moon (2009) y Source Code (Código fuente, 2011). Sirviéndose del instrumental analítico que proporciona la narratología aplicada a los relatos audiovisuales pretende verificar que en una época definida por la importancia del impacto visual y auditivo, son las elecciones narrativas en el nivel del relato las que sostienen el peso y la singularidad de sus filmes.

    The new century seems to have marked the beginning of a new cinematographic era defined by major technological and productive transformations and profound changes in the status and nature of moving image. Trying to contribute to the general characterization of the cinema in this new period, this paper focuses on the study of a representative filmography in this regard, the British filmmaker Duncan Jones one, made so far by Moon (2009) and Source Code (2011). Using analytical instruments coming from the proposals of narratology and its adaptation to cinema, it tries to verify that, in a period defined by the importance of visual and auditory impact, are the choices on the narrative level those that support the construction and particularity of his films.
