  • The article focuses on performances of black artists and their representation in music, theater, dance and popular culture. Topics discussed include the concept of racial blackness, black representation in art, the uniqueness of artist Stanley Brown's approach to Conceptual art, dark dances focusing on the aesthetic potential of blackness by various artists including Nora Chipaumire, Will Rawls and Claudia Rankine and dematerialization in art by several artists including Devin Kenny.
