We objectify to present a intertextual analysis of the literary text that contemplates a process of mythical constitution of the personages of the romance the Guarani (1857) of the writer Jose de Alencar. Focamos the analysis on the Cecília young for where we discover its “static” adaptation as medieval myth in the Brazilian romantic romance. The unconditional, protective and servile love of the Peri indian (One arquétipo of the medieval knight.) conditions the construction of the loved one, therefore under the medieval myth of the gracious love, a personage is formed in function of the other, is opposing destinations that search the balance in the love. Exactly being something distant and inaccessible, as they present the trovadorescas Cantigas of love. In the theoretical recital, we have: MOISÉS (2004 - 2005) characterizing the mythos and the definitions of the plain and round personages; a platonic reference to the servile love in the Slap-up meal; Spalding (1973), Brunel (1988) for the dicionarizações concerning the thematic one and of the critical one; in the literary theory, Brunel, Pichois and Rousseau (1995, p.115): the myth, “a narrative set consecrated by the tradition”; in Samuel (2000), the mythical literariedade in the formation of a people; Bosi (1994), information on the indianismo and Coutinho (1988), gênese of our literariedade and the romantic romance. Thus, our work presents a result to the literary study: the thematic influence of the Average Age and its mythical love (gracious and servile) in the composition of the indianista romance.

Objetivamos apresentar uma análise intertextual do texto literário que contempla um processo de constituição mítica das personagens do romance O Guarani (1857) do escritor José de Alencar. Focamos a análise sobre a jovem Cecília para onde descobrimos sua adaptação “estática” como mito medieval no romance romântico brasileiro. O amor incondicional, protetor e servil do índio Peri (Um arquétipo do cavaleiro medieval.) condiciona a construção da amada, pois sob o mito medieval do amor cortês, uma personagem é formada em função da outra, são destinos opostos que buscam o equilíbrio no amor. Mesmo sendo algo distante e inacessível, como apresentam as trovadorescas Cantigas de amor. Na fundamentação teórica, temos: MOISÉS (2004 - 2005) caracterizando o mythos e as definições das personagens planas e redondas; uma referência platônica ao amor servil no Banquete; Spalding (1973), Brunel (1988) para as dicionarizações acerca da temática e da crítica; na teoria literária, Brunel, Pichois e Rousseau (1995, p.115): o mito, “um conjunto narrativo consagrado pela tradição”; em Samuel (2000), a literariedade mítica na formação de um povo; Bosi (1994), informações sobre o indianismo e Coutinho (1988), gênese da nossa literariedade e o romance romântico. Assim, nosso trabalho apresenta um resultado ao estudo literário: a influência temática da Idade Média e seu mítico amor (cortês e servil) na composição do romance indianista.
