Resumen de Terrorismo y movimientos migratorios en Europa periodo 2015-2017: el caso francés

La crisis migratoria que afecta la Unión Europea desde 2015 representa un riesgo real en relación con la difusión del terrorismo internacional. En efecto, este último ya utilizó las rutas migratorias para difundirse en Francia. Sin embargo, a pesar del vínculo tentador que se podría establecer entre inmigrantes y terroristas, las consecuencias directas de esta crisis quedan limitadas para el país. No obstante, desde una perspectiva más amplia, las tendencias migratorias históricas propias de Francia indujeron cambios estructurales que, conjugados con dificultades de integración, provocaron desequilibrios peligrosos. Un estudio del perfil de los terroristas involucrados en los atentados cometidos en Francia entre 2015 y 2017 permite afirmar que la situación sociodemográfica observada en el país, resultado de migraciones anteriores, es un dato del problema yihadista, dado que constituye un terreno favorable para el reclutamiento local.

The migration crisis which the European Union has suffered since 2015 represents a real threat to Europe due to its links to international terrorism. In France in particular, terrorists have used migratory routes to establish themselves in the country. Despite the obvious temptation to link terrorists and migrants, however, the effects of the migration crisis in France have been limited. Nonetheless, from a wider perspective France´s historical migration patterns have induced societal changes, which, together with issues surrounding integration, have dangerously unbalanced the country. A detailed profile study of the terrorists involved in attacks in France carried out between 2015-2017 reveals that the sociodemographic situation brought about by previous generations of inmigrants is indeed an element of the jihadist issue, creating a breeding ground for locally-recruited terrorist.
