Los orígenes del aderezo regional extremeño y la orfebrería de filigrana en Cáceres

    A lo largo del siglo XIX se produce, aparentemente, una crisis en la or-febrería extremeña; sin embargo, al mismo tiempo surgen y se popularizan las joyas de filigrana que llegan a formar al típico aderezo regional. Ello se debe a la aparición de numerosos orives repartidos por la provincia de Cáceres, al-gunos de ellos llegados de Portugal, que introducen una nueva tipología joyera importada que causará furor entre las mujeres extremeñas.Se analiza esa influencia a través del estudio de antiguos inventarios de joyería que ayudan a comprender el proceso de popularización y asentamiento del gusto por las joyas más usuales en la región, utilizadas todavía hoy en fiestas y celebraciones.

    Throughout the 19th century there is apparently a crisis in the goldsmiths of Extremadura; however, at the same time, the filigree jewels that come to form the typical regional jewelry set emerge and become popular. This is due to the appearance of many goldsmiths distributed by the province of Cáceres, some of them from Portugal, which introduce a new imported jewelry typology that will achieve great success among Extremadura women.This influence is analysed through the study of old inventories of jewelry that help us to understand the process of popularization and settlement of the liking for the most common jewels in the region, still used today at holidays and festivals.
