• We developed a system for analyzing and visualizing business solutions provided by information technology (IT) companies in Japan. The system enables analysis of investments in the IT sector in Japan, which exceed 100 billion dollars per year. It uses information about business solutions obtained from web sites to carry out the analysis and generates a two-dimensional diagram of the informations using a visualization engine called GAVE (Galaxy analysis and visualization engine). The system enables analysis of IT investments by year, company size, industry, characteristics of the region, and so on. It enables users to understand how IT investments are made in Japan. The IT industry is growing rapidly, and opportunities for investment can significantly affect the cost of the investment. Companies making investments in IT can use this system to make informed investment decisions to ensure their competitiveness.
