Tras mostrar la mejor adecuación del concepto de exclusión para explicar las nuevas formas de marginación social, y muy especialmente las asociadas a fenómenos de migración, el autor centra su análisis en las modificaciones del discurso noeracista y sus efectos paralizantes sobre las políticas de integración cultural. Para superar esta situación se necesita la voluntad política de querer hacerlo y la generación de valores de consenso entre la sociedad receptora y la comunidad migrante.

First of all, the author explains why the concept of exclusion is more fitting when approaching the new forms of social "rejection", and particularly those which are linked to the phenomenon of immigration. Afterwards, his analyse is focused on the modifications of the neoracist speech ami its paralyzing effect upon policies of cultural integration. In order to overcome this situation, it is necessary to have a political will and the creation of new values agreed between the migrant community and the receiving society.
