Resumen de Modelo integral de gestión y promoción de la investigación en Instituciones de Educación Superior

  Las funciones misionales de una institución de educación superior (IES) abarcan aspectos relevantes en docencia, proyección social e investigación, los cuales permiten contribuir al desarrollo de su plan estratégico institucional. Con el propósito de fortalecer el proceso de investigación en las IES incorporando el uso de las tecnologías de la información (TI) y con el fin de formar parte de la planificación global de la institución, este artículo presenta un modelo integral de gestión y promoción de la investigación en IES. El carácter innovador de este modelo es integral y bidimensional. Integral, porque busca soportar cada uno de los procesos que toda IES lleva a cabo en el desarrollo de su función misional y bidimensional, puesto que, en primera instancia, lo conforman tres ejes: (a) la investigación formativa, (b) la formación en investigación y (c) el trabajo en red. En segunda instancia, incorpora el aprendizaje basado en proyectos (ABP) como una estrategia o método de enseñanza y aprendizaje pensado para guiar a los estudiantes hacia la planeación, implementación y evaluación de proyectos o solución de problemas que tienen aplicación en el mundo real. Todo este proceso está apoyado por un software para la gestión y evaluación del modelo dentro de las instituciones de educación superior.

  The misional functions of a institutions of higher education (IHE) involve pivotal aspects in teaching, social projection and research, which contribute to the development of the strategic institutional plan. This, with the purpose of strengthening the process of research in the (IHE), incorporating the use of the Information Technologies (IT)  and  being part of the  general Institution  planification. The following article presents an integral model of management as well as the encouragement of research in institutions of  higher education . It also highlights the integral and two-dimensional characteristics. Integral because of it looks for suppport each process the (IHE) has in the development of the misional functions; and two-dimentional, firstly there are three important axes: Research training, formative research and networking. The second reason is this method incorporates (ABP in spanish)-based learning project as a strategy and teaching/learning method, created to guide students through the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects or solving problem applicable daily. The whole process is supported by a management and assesment software model applied in the institutions of higher education.
