La atención a los adultos mayores es uno de los objetivos principales del profesor de Cultura Física al promover el mantenimiento de la salud y el buen funcionamiento físico y mental. Para la realización de esta investigación se escogió una muestra de 30 adultos mayores de la comunidad Santa Elena, en el Municipio de Manzanillo, Provincia de Granma específicamente con los que consumen bebidas alcohólicas. El objetivo general está encaminado a: aplicar actividades recreativas para los adultos mayores alcohólicos de esta comunidad, para lograr una disminución de su consumo. Los resultados obtenidos a través del diagnóstico y la caracterización a los adultos mayores que consumen bebidas alcohólicas demuestran la necesidad e importancia de realizar estas actividades para mejorar su calidad de vida, para lograr la disminución de su consumo y una concientización a partir de los daños que causa al organismo y en su comportamiento en la sociedad.

The attention to the biggest adults belongs one of the main objectives from the professor of Physical Culture when promoting the maintenance of the health and the biggest adult's good physical and mental operation. For the realization of this investigation a sample of 30 adults was chosen bigger than the community Santa Elena, in the Municipality of Tree, County of Granma specifically with those that consume alcoholic drinks. The general objective is guided to: to apply recreational activities for the alcoholic bigger adults of the community Santa Elena, to achieve a decrease of their consumption. The results obtained through the diagnosis and the characterization to the biggest adults that consume drinks alcoholics demonstrate the necessity to carry out these activities to improve their quality of life, to achieve the decrease of their consumption and a concientización starting from the damages that it causes to the organism and in their behavior in the society.
