El último poemario del artista y crítico Cañas (2017a: 42) se compromete a denunciar la hipocresía del continente europeo en relación con su manera de tratar y (no) acoger a las personas que migran. En este artículo, indagamos en las múltiples facetas de lo visual de este libro. Estas permiten dar cuenta de las paradojas, las tensiones y las transformaciones que la poesía y la mirada del poeta sobre la realidad hacen posible.

The latest collection of the artist and critic Dionisio Cañas, La noche de Europa (2017), commits to denunciating the hypocrisy of the European continent regarding its way of treating and (not) welcoming people who migrate. In this paper, we study the multiple facets of the visuality in this poetry book. They allow for explanations of the paradoxes, tensions and transformations to which poetry and the poet’s vision of reality give rise.
