Resumen de “Una tarde parda y fría…”: Notas sobre la enseñanza y su influencia en Don Antonio Machado

Basándonos en el bellísimo poema, conocido por todos, “Recuerdo Infantil”, de Antonio Machado, queremos hacer un análisis de la situación de la enseñanza primaria en el último cuarto del siglo XIX, y su influencia en el poeta. Las distintas estrofas servirán para ir desgranando los aspectos que caracterizan a las escuelas de entonces: calendario, horario, metodología, material, situación del magisterio, etc. Más tarde, el paso por la Institución Libre de Enseñanza le hace tomar conciencia de la existencia de un nuevo modelo educativo, que le lleva a cuestionar la vieja escuela tradicional.

Based on the beautiful poem, known by everyone, "Recuerdo Infantil", by Antonio Machado, we want to analyze the situation of primary education in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, and its influence on the poet. The different stanzas will be used to go over the aspects that characterize the schools of that time: calendar, schedule, methodology, material and situation of the teacher. Later, the passage through the Free Institution of Teaching makes him aware of the existence of a new educational model, which leads him to question the traditional old school.
