Resumen de Estudiantes de bachillerato ante el movimiento de huelga: Posiciones y explicaciones

  Este artículo presenta un avance de un proyecto de investigación que se gestó durante el movimiento de huelga que paralizó a la UNAM entre abril de 1999 y febrero de 2000. Se trata del análisis de las entrevistas a dos grupos de estudiantes del Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades. Las entrevistas -abiertas, semiestructuradas y grupales- se ordenaron en torno a ejes de análisis que pudieran dar cuenta de la situación personal de los estudiantes y de su posición ante la huelga y sus principales actores, y de su opinión sobre continuar en la UNAM o buscar otras alternativas. No se pretende construir una explicación sobre el movimiento; se trata más bien de una suerte de "instantánea" de este grupo de jóvenes para quienes la huelga representaba un acontecimiento inesperado que irrumpía en sus vidas.

  This article presents the first part of a research project that was conceived during the strike movement that grinded the UNAM to a halt between april 1999 and february 2000. It offers the analysis of the interviews made to two groups of CCH (Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades, i.e. Sciences and Humanities College) students. The interviews -open, semi-structured or group interviews- were organized along axes of analysis that could recount the students' personal situation, their position towards the strike movement and its principal actors and their opinion about remaining at the UNAM or searching for other educational options. The purpose was absolutely not to construct an explication about the movement, but rather a kind of «snapshot» of this group of young men and women for whom the strike represented an important and unexpected event that broke into their lifes.
