El mito de Orfeo ha sido reelaborado reiteradamente en los cuentos de la escritora argentina Luisa Mercedes Levinson. En su obra aparece asociado a la figura del fantasma. Además del cuento “La isla” que adapta el mito, otra reelaboración de la figura de Orfeo se encuentra en el relato “Sumergidos”, vinculado a la temática edénica, característica de la autora argentina.
