The author examines the history of Latin vocabulary based on frecuency, focussing on XXth century works, once Statistics started being a very useful instrument for the teaching of Latin Language. Anyway frecuency should not be the only pattern to be followed: a different approach based on Lexematics seems to be more useful in order to get the proper meaning of words inside their own context.
