  Catherine Cronin es docente e investigadora sobre educación en abierto, identidad y bienestar digital y trabaja actualmente como desarrolladora educativa en el National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education en Irlanda. Comenzó su carrera como Ingeniera de Sistemas en la década de 1980, y finalmente cambió de trayectoria para graduarse en Estudios de la Mujer, completando su tesis sobre Género y Tecnología. Desde entonces, Catherine acumula más de 25 años de experiencia en la enseñanza, la investigación y el trabajo en la educación superior. Recientemente completó su doctorado en Prácticas de Educación Abierta (OEP) en Educación Superior.
