El artículo describe los resultados obtenidos del Cuestionario para la selección de indicadores de la excelencia docente universitaria del Dr. Manuel Fernández-Cruz , que se aplicó a 74 profesores de la Universidad de Colima (UdeC). Asimismo, se realizaron 39 entrevistas a profesores, estudiantes y egresados de posgrado de las distintas áreas de conocimiento. El análisis de ambos instrumentos permitió conocer que buena parte de los profesores consideran que:
han alcanzado un amplio dominio de su materia; imparten docencia de calidad;
actualizan regularmente los contenidos que enseñan; promueven la innovación y autonomía entre sus estudiantes; presentan el deseo de seguir capacitándose en su área; se preocupan porque los alumnos aprendan en un clima de cordialidad y confi anza; se sienten satisfechos con el trabajo que realizan. Sin embargo, se muestran reacios a trabajar con sus pares de manera colegiada y manifi estan problemas para llevar a cabo el programa de tutoría.
The article describes the results obtained from the Questionnaire for the selection of indicators of the university teaching excellence of Dr. Manuel Fernández- Cruz. The instrument was applied to 74 professors and 39 interviews were held with professors, students and graduate students from the different areas of knowledge of the institution. Among the positive aspects it stands out that they are professors who: have a broad mastery of their subject; impart quality teach- ing; regularly update the contents they teach; promote innovation and autonomy among their students; they manifest the desire to continue being trained in their area; they care because the students learn in a climate of cordiality and confi - dence; They feel satisfi ed with the work they do. However, they are reluctant to work with their peers in a collegiate manner and manifest problems to carry out the tutoring program.
