Resumen de La mujer silenciada. Violencia de género en Pamplona durante la Restauración (1876-1923)

La violencia de género fue un lastre con el que tuvieron que lidiar muchas habitantes de Pamplona durante la Restauración. Los discursos en torno a la mujer perpetuaron ciertos roles de género y sustentaron una violencia bajo causas estructurales, fácilmente rastreable entre la documentación judicial. Gracias a estas fuentes, podemos observar los patrones y características de la cara más explícita de la violencia de género, tanto a través de los propios hechos motivo de litigio, como de la interpretación que de los delitos realizaban las diferentes instancias judiciales. Por su parte, la prensa reflejó de una manera peculiar los sucesos y los conocidos como «crímenes pasionales».

Gender violence was one of the main problems which many women who inhabited Pamplona had to deal with during Restoration period. The discourses about the woman helped to prolong gender roles and supported a violence under structural causes, which can be easily tracked in judicial documents. Thanks to these sources, we can analyze the main patterns and characteristics of the explicit gender violence, both through the facts of contention and the interpretation of offences by judicial bodies. On the other hand, the media reflected in a particular way some events and offences known as «crimes of passion».

Genero indarkeria Iruñeko emakume askok Berrezarkuntzan aurre egin behar izan zioten arazo larri bat izan zen. Emakumeei buruzko arrazoibideek genero rol jakin batzuk betikotu zituzten, eta indarkeriaren oinarri izan ziren, zeina egiturazko kausen ondorio izan baitzen, eta dokumentazio judizialean erraz arakatzeko modukoa. Iturri horiei esker, genero indarkeriaren alderdi esplizituenaren ereduak eta ezaugarriak ikus ditzakegu, bai auzigai ziren gertaeren bidez, bai instantzia judizialek delituez egiten zuten interpretazioaren bidez. Bestalde, prentsak modu berezian jaso zituen gertaerak eta «pasio-hilketa» izena hartu zutenak.
